Description

Starting material in preparing 2-(trimethylsilyl)ethyl-triphenylphosphonium iodide used for the synthesis of allyl silanes. Employed for the N-alkylation of amides, in a reaction sequence to prepare unstabilized ylides for [2+3]-cycloadditions.
